This page is about the site itself: where its numbers come from, how it updates and what it refuses to do. Questions about ACBuy sheets — links, balances, warehouse items, migration — live in the question index instead, so the two do not get mixed together.
- Where does the data on this site come from?
- From requests this site makes itself, and from public pages it reads and names. A period record is built by requesting a sample of addresses once each and classifying the response; the sample list, the date and the addresses that were dropped are all published with it. Platform fields come from reading the platform’s own pages or a source named on the entry, with the date it was read. Nothing is taken from another site’s comparison table.
- How often does it update?
- A new period record is published weekly, and platform fields are re-read when a period is published. Articles and answers are added between periods and carry their own modification dates. The front page states the current period; the site record states every change that a reader would notice.
- Why is the sample only a few dozen addresses?
- Because source hosts stop accepting connections when they are pushed harder. Requests run with at most two concurrent connections and a gap between calls, and that ceiling caps how many addresses can be read in one window. In the first period it left 113 addresses unfinished; they are excluded from the table rather than written down as unknown. A larger sample would mean a faster request rate, which produces a run of refusals that looks like a finding and is not one.
- Can I send in my own links to be checked?
- You can check them yourself: the legacy link resolver reads up to 200 addresses in the page and tells you what each one is and what this site last recorded for it. What you cannot do is submit addresses for inclusion in a period sample. The sample is drawn from publicly reachable material so that any reader can go and look at the same listings.
- Why is the site only in English?
- Because the record has to be read by whoever is checking it, and splitting a weekly record across languages would mean either publishing a thinner record in each or translating claims in a way that loses their qualifications. The method page is the part most sensitive to precise wording, and it is written to be read in one language without ambiguity.
- Do you take guest posts, sponsored entries or link exchanges?
- No. There is no sponsored content, no paid placement and no link exchange with other sites. The only commercial element is the source marker on links to the platform directory, and it does not affect ordering.
- Does the site use cookies or track me?
- The site is static and sets no cookies of its own. There is no account, no form submission and no third-party script. Copy buttons and calculators work entirely in your browser, which also means the calculator inputs are never sent anywhere — and, in exchange, are never saved.
- What happens if I find an error?
- The correction route takes it and lists the four things that make a report actionable. Reports are read within five working days, and accepted corrections are logged rather than applied quietly. Corrections that change a definition move the method version; earlier periods keep the readings they were published with.

Write to corrections@acbuy.mobi. A question that can be answered from something this site can point at becomes an entry in the index, credited to the period it arrived in. A question that could only be answered with a guess gets a reply saying so, which is less satisfying and more useful than an invented answer.
The site does not provide support for any platform, cannot look up accounts or orders, and will never ask for credentials of any kind.
